McS Charitable Foundation Center for Education and Art and the Sue Frey Stage

For decades, the Beaver County Christian School gymnasium and theater has stood as a gathering place for students and the community. Thanks to our generous friends at the McS Charitable Foundation, we now have an opportunity to renovate this space as one where students can learn, create, and perform here at BCCS!

While this space will still be used for school needs such as assemblies, student prayer, class projects, and athletics, renovations will increase the functionality of this space as a theater and allow our students to participate in quality productions. Updates will include our electrical infrastructure, lighting and sound, as well as cosmetic improvements – all combined to create the McS Charitable Foundation Center for Education and Art! 

This is an opportunity to directly impact students. This renovation offers BCCS an opportunity to recognize Mrs. Sue Frey and her decades of service to BCCS. We are refurbishing and dedicating the stage in Mrs. Frey's  honor for her faithful service as the BCCS music teacher, chorus director, and musical director for 34 years. She brought to life dozens of shows including classics such as Les Mis, Seussical, and Oliver! Through her passion and leadership, hundreds of BCCS students were exposed to, and developed a love of, the arts. Thank you Mrs. Frey!

Stage renovations are scheduled to include: a new piano, new curtains, stage lighting for theater and concert needs, refinished stage floor,, fresh paint, acoustic panels, as well as lighting and sound equipment.
