Turn your PA tax burden into BCCS scholarships!

Through the EITC (Educational Improvement Tax Credit) and OSTC (Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit) programs set up by the state of Pennsylvania, you can have your tax dollars stay in Beaver County to support children right here in our community.

Make a Pledge

The EITC and OSTC programs allow donors to give to the scholarship fund of a Pennsylvania private school, re-directing eligible* PA taxes they owe the state and giving that money instead to the school of their choice. The donations directly benefit local PA schools, often in the form of scholarships to low or moderate-income families.

Donors must apply through either the state (online) or an LLC SPE (Special Purpose Entity) operating under the authority of the state. If approved, they can get a 90% tax credit for their donation. The net effect is that the donation only costs the donors 10% out-of-pocket. BCCS has partnered with the Penngift Foundation to allow individuals and businesses to easily participate in the program. A donor that gives $10,000 to Penngift receives a PA tax credit of $9,000. BCCS students receive $10,000 in scholarships.**

How to Apply

There are two ways to apply for these credits:

  1. Businesses only can apply online through NewPA.com
  2. Businesses and individuals can apply through an approved LLC like Penngift Foundation, that has been granted credits to distribute by the state.

How do BCCS students benefit from EITC or OSTC contributions?

When you or your business receives tax credits by designating its donation for BCCS’ scholarship fund, your contribution is awarded directly toward the tuition of students based on their financial need, making Christ-centered learning opportunities accessible to children from all socio-economic backgrounds.

How much of a tax credit can I receive?

You may take up to $750,000 in tax credits per year. You will receive a tax credit of up to 90% of your donation. Existing federal charitable deductions also apply.
